Connor's room thus far...

I am almost finished decorating Connor's room. We kind of went with an "everything" theme, but mostly airplanes.

The rug is between his dresser and crib.

This wall still needs work. I'm thinking more shelves...and definitely a floor lamp.

Last ultrasound...we think!

Since my belly measured 37 weeks at my 33 week appointment, we had an ultrasound to determine if it is a big baby or lots of fluid. It's a big baby! Per his measurements, he weights 5 lbs. and 14 oz. He is the size of an average 35 week and 4 day fetus. He's only 33 weeks and 6 days! The ultrasound machine moved my due date up to February 25th. I will talk with Dr. Counts on the 1st to decide if we will induce early because of his size. His heart rate was 149 bpm which is perfect. He is head down and still shy. He did not want to show his face...again. The ultrasound pics weren't as clear this time since he's running out of room!

Arkansas Baby Shower - 11/26/10

While we were visiting family in Arkansas over Thanksgiving, my mom (Meme), her long-time friend Sherry Fix and my sister-in-law Natalie threw us a baby shower. It was at Sherry's beautiful log cabin home on Lake Hamilton. My fabulous college friends were all in attendance, including Matt Hawk's mother, Donna Kent and sister, Natalie Kindt and my friend Whitney all the way from NYC! My Aunt Loretta and cousins Lisa, Carley and Paige were also there to celebrate the new addition to our family. It was great seeing them all and we received a ton of adorable gifts! Thank you all for your thoughtfulness!! We really appreciate it!

Connor's cake...it was delish!

Ron was able to come by boat for the end of the shower and meet everyone. Special thanks to Tim (Sherry's husband) for taking Ron on a tour of the lake by boat and decorating his home for Christmas!

While my friend Mary Lee Welch was not able to make the shower because she was in Mississippi, Connor and I were able to have lunch with her the following Monday! Mandy and Madeline also joined us.

24 week ultrasound and echo

We went in for his 24 week ultrasound and a fetal echocardiogram on 11/19/10. No present heart problems!! Everything looks great! We also finally got a pic of his face and profile. He definitely has a Dixon nose (mine and his Pawpaw's) and hopefully Ron's lips!

Thank you to all who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers! They were heard and we are so thankful for a healthy fetus (baby boy soon)!!

Connor's room thus far...

Shhhhhhhhh!!! Little Piggy is sleeping!

Thank you Grandma (Casey) for his bedding!

Ron said there couldn't be more Razorback decor/stuff than Green Bay Packers... Hahahaha! He's so funny! I found red and navy storage bins at Target and they have strips inside that match his bedding perfect. Kid must be organized.

Thank you Meme (Dixon) for his curtains!

20 week ultrasound

We had our 20 week ultrasound on 10/22/10. We were suppose to have a fetal echocardiogram, but Connor would not show us his face or heart so we will go back at 22 weeks and try again. His organs looked good. He had fluid in his stomach which means he is swallowing water and fluid in his bladder which means his kidneys are working. He has two kidneys. His heart rate was good and the best news of all was he grew into his neck! It finally measured normal!

They said the cord was in his face in this one...I sure hope that is what that is!

Hopefully in two weeks he'll show is face better!

12 week ultrasound - NT Scan

This ultrasound (8/24/10) was to test for Downs Syndrome. The fluid between his neck bone and skin was too thick, which put him at high risk for downs. I had amniotic fluid taken two weeks later at 14 weeks and his chromosomes were normal. Only 46 and this is how they knew he was 100% BOY! I'm not going to go into details, but let's just say waiting for the results was a nightmare! Longest ten days of our lives. We are still not out of the water yet, as they now believe the neck thickness could be a heart or organ problem.

He wouldn't turn and show us his face! Shy...wonder who he gets that from? Not me!
